Almost 26,100 German farmers were farming naturally in 2015, up from 16,500 a years formerly, according to figures launched by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis on Friday.
The percentage of natural farmers increased to 10 percent in 2015, up from 6 percent in 2010.
Organic farming covered a location of 1.6 million hectares, 69 percent up on that in 2010. The location comprises 9.6 percent of the overall.
More than half of the natural farmers lie in the southern states of Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg
According to Destatis, the overall variety of farming operations in 2020 was 262,800, with a continuous pattern towards bigger and less farms.
